Job Title: Full Stack Engineer – Python and React

Location: MUST be hybrid and onsite 2x weekly in Mount Arlington, NJ-Locals only 

Duration: 6 months initial contract

Mode of Interview: 2 rounds interview with final ONSITE and coding exercise as part of it.  

Visa: USC, GC, GCEAD

Looking for a mid to senior level person, level II-III in a contract capacity that would be approximately 6 months long to help build and test capacity.

POSITION SUMMARY

EngagePro is MedPro’s Healthcare Provider (HCP) engagement platform – a net-new, AI-first product built out of MedPro Labs and is now hardening toward a production launch. This role adds dedicated build capacity to accelerate that launch, with test engineering as an equal half of the mandate. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·  Deliver features end-to-end on EngagePro’s modern, AI-first stack: Reactjs front end, FastAPI services, PostgreSQL and MongoDB persistence. 

·  Build the automated test foundation for launching product – unit, API, integration, and end-to-end coverage that lets the team ship quickly and safely.

·  Contribute to AI-in-product integration patterns as a core part of EngagePro’s value. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The Build & Test Mandate: 

·  This role is explicitly hybrid: a functional full-stack engineer who is also a strong test engineer. 

·  You write the feature and the automated coverage that proves it. 

·  On a launching product, test quality is what makes velocity safe.

Working Model (Contract): 

·  Per MedPro’s support model, contractors do not hold production access. Deployments and production operations pair through the full-time pod lead; your job is to make that pairing cheap — clean pipelines, feature flags, strong observability, and changes that are safe to ship.

·  AI-assisted development is the standard working mode.

·  A focused 6-month engagement aligned to the launch window, with extension evaluated against launch progress.

YEARS’ EXPERIENCE

·   4–7 years full-stack engineering on production SaaS.

TECHNOLOGY/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

·  Strong on the modern stack: React and Python/FastAPI with PostgreSQL; MongoDB a plus.

·  Genuine test-engineering depth: pytest, Playwright, API and integration testing, and test design — not incidental coverage. This is a stated, weighted requirement for this role.

·  Fluency in AI-assisted development required: experience launching a net-new SaaS product and life-sciences exposure both preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. 

·  The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen and extensive reading. 

·  The individual in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 

·  The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time.
