Job Description:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze requirements, identify issues, and solve problems is fundamental.
- Framework to be used will be based on Python scripts, CICD automation via GitHub Actions, and GitHub Copilot skills.
- Must have demonstrated expertise/knowledge with these capabilities.
- Application code is Kotlin - solid understanding of Kotlin (or at minimum Java).
- Must have solid DB and SQL experience - role requires substantial query crafting and understanding to identify target test data.
- Programming/coding proficiency: A solid understanding of at least one programming language (like Java or JavaScript or TypeScript) is necessary for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Test automation principles and script development: Knowledge of how to design, write, and maintain automated test scripts is crucial.
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Playwright or Selenium (TestNG) or Cypress.
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automation tests using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Database Experience - Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases.
- Git and GitHub Experience - Good experience of git , GitHub is required.
- Clear understanding of business requirements: Being able to understand and translate business requirements into testable scenarios is a core skill.
- Functional testing skills: A solid foundation in manual and functional testing is important before automating.
- API testing knowledge: Proficiency with APIs (REST, SOAP) is valuable for testing services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines is beneficial in modern development environments.
- Communication and collaboration: The ability to communicate effectively with developers, managers, and other stakeholders is vital.
Good-to-haves
- Domain knowledge: Knowledge of risk and compliance functions can help an engineer create more relevant and effective test cases.
- Experience with specific technologies: Deep expertise in specific tools or technologies like mobile testing, database testing, or specific frameworks can be a plus.
- Cloud-based & AI experience: Experience with cloud platforms or AI tools can be advantageous.
