Location:                             New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite, Monday–Thursday)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data architecture solutions for a leading healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and MicroStrategy, along with a strong background in healthcare data ecosystems. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on architect who can drive data modernization initiatives, establish enterprise data standards, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 12–14+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Data Warehousing.
• Strong Healthcare industry experience with exposure to claims, member, provider, clinical, patient, or healthcare operational data.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks and modern Lakehouse architecture.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, and data modeling.
• Strong experience with MicroStrategy reporting, analytics, and BI architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling techniques, including dimensional and normalized data models.
• Strong SQL expertise and experience with large-scale data environments.
• Experience designing cloud-based data platforms on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of healthcare data governance, security, compliance, and HIPAA requirements.
• Experience leading enterprise data transformation and modernization programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support healthcare analytics and reporting initiatives.
• Architect scalable data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse solutions using Databricks and Snowflake.
• Lead data integration, migration, and modernization efforts across healthcare platforms and applications.
• Establish data governance, metadata management, data quality, and master data management (MDM) frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to define data requirements and solutions.
• Design secure and compliant data architectures adhering to HIPAA and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Provide architectural guidance for MicroStrategy reporting and business intelligence solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and best practices for data management and analytics.
• Mentor and guide development teams on architecture standards, data modeling, and implementation best practices.
• Drive performance optimization, scalability, and reliability across the enterprise data ecosystem.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions.
• Experience implementing Data Governance, MDM, Data Catalog, and Data Lineage solutions.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS certifications preferred.
• Prior experience in large healthcare payer, provider, or life sciences organizations.
