C2C opening: IT / Infrastructure Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT / Infrastructure Project Manager for a high-impact, hands-on role with a leading financial services client in downtown Manhattan, New York. This is a hybrid position (2–3 days onsite/week) and requires flexibility to work Friday evenings and/or Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor—not part of the PMO, not a people manager, and not a scrum master, engineer, or architect. You will own the end-to-end coordination and execution of data center infrastructure projects and act as the leader of the event.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering critical data center initiatives—such as network core refreshes, infrastructure builds, and migrations—with a focus on Cisco and Arista hardware. The role involves hardware procurement, logistics, installation, and coordination with cross-functional and vendor teams. You'll manage timelines, resource alignment, and project risks independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute data center builds, network refreshes, router/switch deployments
• Coordinate hardware delivery, staging, installation, and testing
• Partner with engineering and vendor teams to deliver on infrastructure goals
• Own the full project lifecycle: scheduling, change tickets, UAT, and reporting
• Create and manage technical change tickets and compliance documentation
• Deliver weekly project updates and status reports to internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 12–15 years of technical project management experience (infrastructure-focused)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista hardware and network buildouts
• Proven success delivering data center builds, refreshes, or consolidations
• Ability to manage external vendors, internal teams, and deployment logistics
• Strong experience with ServiceNow, MS Project, Excel, Visio, SharePoint
• Must have worked on weekend deployments (Friday/Saturday) in prior roles
• Eligible to work onsite in New York City 2–3 days per week

Nice to Have

• CCNA/CCNP certification
• Experience with Dark Fiber, WAN, and LAN
• Background in financial services or at technology hardware vendors
• Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Note: This is not a PMO role and does not involve people management. The right candidate will be an independent executor who can lead infrastructure deployment events from start to finish.
