But the thing is this: Patreon only needs to pay the transaction fee on the total pledge amount, but based on their explanation of the new fee structure they'll be hitting each individual pledge with the $0.35 transaction fee. So the processor fee will remain constant at 2.9% but the transaction fee will vary per patron based on the number of creators they are supporting. The more creators you support, the larger your transaction fees will be and the more money Patreon will make.
There is a way they could have done this that would have worked: charge patrons the actual processing and transaction fees. Would I be willing to pay $0.93 more per month so that more of my pledged amount would go to the creators and so they would be able to predict their monthly income? I sure am! Am I willing to pay $7.58 more per month so the people I support can can get the same amount of additional money each month and so Patreon can pocket an additional $7.60? Fuck no.

Associated Press style provides guidelines for news writing. Many newspapers, magazines and public relations offices across the United States use AP style. Although some publications such as the New York Times have developed their own style guidelines, a basic knowledge of AP style is considered essential to those who want to work in print journalism.
The content of newspapers and other mass media is typically the result of many different writers and editors working together. AP style provides consistent guidelines for such publications in terms of grammar, spelling, punctuation and language usage. Some guiding principles behind AP style are:
The Associated Press Stylebook provides an A-Z guide to issues such as capitalization, abbreviation, punctuation, spelling, numerals and many other questions of language usage. What follows are summaries of some of the most common style rules.
When the name of a state name appears in the body of a text, spell it out. State abbreviations should also be avoided in headlines where possible. States should be abbreviated when used as part of a short-form political affiliation. Examples: He was travelling to Nashville, Tenn. The peace accord was signed in Dayton, Ohio. The storm began in Indiana and moved west toward Peoria, Ill. Updated guidance to AP style notes that state names can also be abbreviated for the following purposes:
AP Style (a.k.a. Associated Press Style) provides guidelines for grammar and citations in news writing. It's the style guide most newspapers, magazines, and other media outlets use, so this style is a must-have for anyone who wants to work in journalism or media writing.
The Associated Press was founded in 1848 by six New York newspapers who desired to share resources for international news. The newspapers saved money by sharing the news that arrived by telegraph wire and dividing the expenses evenly; this prevented competition for information. The AP is currently the largest news gathering organization in the world and uses its style to keep the news easy to read, concise and free of bias. First published in 1977, The Associated Press Stylebook lists the rules regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage. The Stylebook is the standard guide for most U.S. newspapers, magazines and other media.

Growing up, my parents were always working to provide for us. I, therefore, was responsible as the eldest daughter to care for my younger siblings. Rarely would someone be there to take care of me, I was always there for others. I developed an anxious attachment style within my personal relationships growing up as I yearned for someone to care for me first, something I still struggle with today.
Lastly, due to insecurities that they are not smart or good enough to get better with money, people may remain stuck in the same place (the same amount of debt, same number of savings in their bank account). This lack of financial progression is demotivating but comes from a place of lacking trust within oneself to be able to create change for themselves.
Next, create a list of small actions you can take today to start improving your financial habits. If you have a hard time letting go of your money, set up automatic payments for your bills or an automatic transfer to a charity in need. This way, you start getting used to the idea of money flowing in and out of your bank account.
Last Saturday I went to the movies to watch Wall Street Money Never Sleeps. It was a nice movie, even though I was expecting something much better in terms of story and special effects, there were some cheesy ones, however in the end during the credits the design they created a really nice animation with money illustration, I don't know the name of the effect in english, but I loved it, so I came back and decided to try to do that in Photoshop.
So in this tutorial I will show you a nice technique to create a simple money style illustration using a regular photo, it's not as perfect as the money illustrations we see in the dollar bill for example, but it's a quick tip. There might be different ways so if you know another one share with us, this was the one I came up with and it's very easy.
Now you can add your logo and play around with other effects. The displace filter is one of the coolest filters in Photoshop because we can create tons of different effects with it, like this tutorial. As I mentioned before the whole idea for this tutorial came when I was watching the credits of Wall Street Money Never Sleeps move where they show some money designs.
You hit the nail right on the head when you said
Style is not about money! I think often, people get too caught up at the thought of paying an extravagant amount for luxury items and yet even with money you could very well end up looking tacky and ostentatious. KISS concept: Keep It Simple, Stupid. That is the best way to start and from there goes the creation of a style! Thanks for sharing the awesome post!
When I first started writing about finances nine years ago (this was one year into my life as an online freelance writer), I read everything I could from money gurus and other experts. At first, I thought that I had to follow every piece of advice I read, or that seemed authoritative. After a couple of years, though, I realized that there are many different financial philosophies out there. I also realized that much of the advice out there is general and some of it might not apply equally to all my life and money stages.
Part of developing your own personal finance style is knowing your values and priorities. Knowing what matters most to you is a big deal when it comes to your finances. Sit down and take the time to think about what you truly value in life, and what you want your life to look like. Use your values to develop priorities to guide your spending and other money decisions.
Keep moving forward and consider automating your finances, at least to some degree. You might be surprised at how helpful it can be to automate. Once you know your values and have received some valuable insight, think about how you can make your cash flow move smoothly. Set up an automatic investment plan. Set up automatic bill pay for recurring expenses. Make sure you regularly transfer money from your checking account to a savings account or emergency fund.
I think automating my finances was the biggest finance style that I uncovered when further exploring my own personal finance style. It really helps me to save when the money I make each month is automatically sent to my different accounts. This is a great list of tips!
I think mechanizing my funds was the greatest account style that I revealed when further investigating my very own money style. It truly helps me to spare when the cash I make every month is naturally sent to my distinctive records. This is an extraordinary run-down of tips.
When I coach clients like this, I suggest that their work is to gain greater clarity into their current financial picture and future money goals. Because their attachment to money is secure, they have very little getting in the way of their path forward, which is a great baseline for leveling up.
When it comes to money, you are enamored of it, but it always feels just out of reach for someone like you. You lack the confidence in yourself to believe that reaching your financial goals is possible.
When coaching clients like this, I ask them to question their beliefs. Is it really true that having money makes them a bad/shallow/selfish person? Is it possible for someone to have lots of money and do wonderful, generous, world-changing things with it? What would that be like?
Understanding your Attachment style can greatly benefit your relationships. Doing the same for your Money Attachment Style can make just as much of an impact on your ability to manage, build, maintain, and direct wealth.
Tip : if your PC is pretty slow with rigid body sim, make a smaller plane, and when finishing step 8, use an other array modifier to make several money-planes sticked together, and apply it when reaching the good size.
To make the most out of your brand style guide, keep it online: either on a cloud storage service with private or public sharing, or as a page on your website that you can access from anywhere. Bookmark the direct link to your brand style guide (and create a custom short URL using bit.ly) so you can easily copy-paste it in emails to your team members and partners. If your business has a logo, keep the logo and the brand style guide (and any additional graphics like icons, textures, etc.) in the same folder so you can share it all at once.
