Surgical coaching project

I want to start a surgical coaching program at Kaiser, kind of based on this article

& also some of the work of Dr Greenberg @ U of Wisconsin. Have any of you ever participated in surgical coaching (either on the giving or receiving end)?

I have not participated in a surgical coaching program but we have been talking about it in our section too. Our neurosurgeons have instituted a similar program and have found it very valuable.

I'll let you know! Do you know if the neurosurgeons coached each other and if so, where they got their coaching training?

They coached each other but I don't know what type of structure they had. I could get you in touch with one of them if you would like? Blair

I loved that article when it first came out.

I think Geoff Cundiff instituted a laparoscopic hysterectomy training program in Canada for attendings - it was presented at SGS like 2 yrs ago.
