Obstructing PVS

Has anyone ever done a deliberately obstructing PVS? I have a patient with essentially no urethral s/p urethrectomy for cancer and this is my plan for her. Any advice welcome - thanks!

Yes- once or twice. One for complicated MS and one for a woman whose urethra was destroyed by long term foley use for retention after being in a coma......my thing was to make sure they had dexterity to straight cath after. Worked well actually. I had a few patients who didn't have the dexterity to straight cath and ended up with urethral plugs. Not sure your patient has enough urethra for the plugs but a purposefully over corrected sling can work great with good counseling.
