question about preop HbA1c

hi guys!
what do you use as a cutoff for HbA1c and elective surgery?
different if mesh or no mesh?
i just did a lit search and found almost nothing good on the topic. does anyone have any good guidelines or papers on this topic?

I use low 7s as an arbitrary, completely unsubstantiated number.  I don’t differentiate between mesh and no mesh.  Hope everyone is well.  B

Yeah, I've used 7, but I've only done so for mesh, and not too consistently either

7 for me too, but I've been known to operate on people with much higher values :)

 I tend to base it more on a trend but with the goal of getting closer to less than 8.
