I have done 1 with Charley's supervision and with a fellow ( Blair) who knew what she was doing.
I bet we have a video I can send you.

I've done a couple...in fellowship.

Would use the medial umbilical ligaments as landmarks and just hug anteriorly to avoid the bladder. Use the double armed ethibond or other double armed suture

would also put a 3 way catheter, hook up the other end to cysto tubing and the water (pull out the plastic insert tubing at the end) so you can retrograde fill initially and see the borders of the bladder

I know we used ethibond on our open burches in fellowship, but here we've taken out quite a few that eroded into the bladder and/or vagina. I'll have to see what peeps here use.  I'm going to guess gortex.

I agree ethibond is bad news... In fellowship we used prolene. We'll prob use goretex

I did a number with Charley as a fellow but have not done any as an attending.  I think it is a great procedure just haven’t found the right patient yet.  I think I have one of our fellowship videos that I can try to post later today.

We used a 0-gortex suture and didn’t tie down any sutures until all suture were placed.  If you tie down early you can’t see anything.

When is your case?  So fun to see many of you. B
