We're not going paperless at least for now!
We are going to put up posters in hostels, much the same way you see EPAC's posters in washrooms. I need ideas about the message you want to see on the poster.
The main idea is to switch off lights n fans when not in use. I suggest putting up the same in sac also. Suggest other places where you think it would b appropriate to put them up!
Anyone good@photoshop here? Just prepare a draft of the poster u wish to see.

Also if we could put up posters near corridor lights which ask people to switch on only alternate lights in a corridor, it saves a lot of electricity!

@Prithu: Nice job! Thanks for coming up with this idea! We'll just have to include URJA's logo either below or in a corner of the poster.  The BITS logo too i guess! I have attached these with this email. Plz append them to your poster and make the desired changes to make it look good!

These posters do look good!
We just have to finalize on one theme or a one theme for each
different kind of location.

a few more posters dessigned by me. done on MS paint by resizing images available on Google, so dont know about image quality. hopefully good enough for printing.

I'd like everyone to vote for the pic that u think conveys the message most convincingly! These posters would be up in hostel washrooms first. So the one that you pick now should suit this the best!
We shall also have some posters(somewhat smaller in size i guess) near the corridor light switches in hostels.

We can have one set for the classrooms as well..... pick one for that too and I'll talk to the admin to get the permission to put up posters there accordingly!

If anyone has suggestions regarding other places (that I might have missed out on, but need attention, ) then please do post them in your reply!

I want this part done a little quickly so that we can put up posters before spree ends at least! So reply asap! :)

Adding some more posters. I think I had already sent these during Waves.. but resending them as many people might not be in that chain. The problem is most of these posters are very small. It would great if someone knows a way to enlarge these without degrading the quality. All have been downloaded from internet.

ok......we'll go wit the execution one! It conveys the message aptly.
even the one about switching attitude is good!

We'll just to have add URJA's logo somewhere in the poster! I suggest ki we can put up the execution thing somewhere between the mirrors in washrooms and the switching attitude thing near the switch panels.
Any other ideas? Post them as replies to this message asap!

why not have a visit to biogas plant to see its working?? maybe we can also have a look at how solar panels and windmills energy is captured and supplied to desired location..i guess that would be a learning experience...

oh yes!! Very good idea indeed!! Some of us have already visited the biogas plant but the we don't yet have complete information about the power generation,etc.

So when can we take time out for this? I'm ready to dedicate time for this! :)
