Hello!

I’m Dounia Bredes, the Youth Outreach Coordinator at Plan International USA (www.planusa.org). I’m reaching out to you and to the representatives of other student organizations to share a job opportunity.

Every summer, my team puts on a youth Leadership Summit (www.planusa.org/summit). We bring together a group of 45 young people (ages 14 – 18) from across the United States and from several of the developing countries where Plan works. (Last year, we had youth representatives from Haiti, Liberia, and Bangladesh!) The Summit is a week of dynamic workshops and activities that build young people’s leadership skills and develop their understanding of global issues—everything from HIV/AIDS to global poverty. And we need summer counselors!

We’re looking for people with an international background, or at least an interest in international social justice, and who have an experience working with youth.

This year, the Summit will be held at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island from July 15 – 19. If those dates work for you, check out the job description on our website, and apply today!
