A reminder that the Northeastern Anthropology Association Conference
will be held in one week at RIC. For those of you who cannot afford to
travel to one of the larger national archaeology meetings, this would
be a great opportunity to learn more about the kinds of archaeological
research being done. It is also a great way to network-- meet other
students and potential employers.

SPECIAL EVENT: Career Advice for Anthropology BAs
A special luncheon on "Career Advice for Undergraduates," sponsored by
Rhode Island College's anthropology club (ANTROPOS) will be held on
Saturday. The following questions (and others) will be addressed: Is
anthropology a good preparation for a career? What are my options when
I graduate with a B.A. in anthropology? How do I prepare while in
university? How do I find an employer and convince him/her to hire me?
Should I go to graduate school? Where? Space is limited to forty
students; please sign up as you check in or register on site. Buffet
lunch is $10.

There will be sessions Friday afternoon and all day Saturday.
Archaeology Sessions Include:

-An Open Forum on Native Americans, Archaeologists, and Sacred Places
(Fri PM)
-The Revolutionary War in Southern Connecticut and the Experience of
Others (Fri. PM)
-Posters (Sat. AM)
