As always with these opportunities, check with faculty here before
committing. Prof. Will Krieger in Philosophy is the one to ask about
the quality of any opportunities in Israel.

To all --
Although we are nearly full for the Tel Kabri 2009 season, when we
will be continuing to excavate the Canaanite palace with Aegean-style
paintings located near Acco and Nahariyya in Israel, we have room for
two more female volunteers for the first session (June 21-July 9). In
addition, the kibbutz has made two additional bungalows available to
us for the second session (July 12-30), so we can take a total of
eight more people (in groups of either four women or four men) for
that session.
Interested volunteers should go to
http://digkabri.wordpress.com/application/,
fill out the preliminary application, and email it to
ehc...@gwu.edu
as soon as possible. Additional forms and a request for full payment
will then be sent to the first two qualified female applicants for the
first session; those requesting the second session (either male or
female) will be placed on a waiting list until enough women or men
have submitted preliminary applications to fill a bungalow.
Cheers and thanks,
Eric H. Cline and Assaf Yasur-Landau
