Python Developer
Client: Bank of America
Location: Remote (Anywhere in USA)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting enterprise banking applications and data-driven platforms for Bank of America. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in backend development, API integrations, cloud technologies, automation, and large-scale data processing within an Agile environment.
The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Data Engineering, QA, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects to design, develop, enhance, and maintain mission-critical financial applications.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python Development
- Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Experience building REST APIs and Microservices Architecture
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Oracle
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong debugging, optimization, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience
- Experience with ETL/Data Processing pipelines
- Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or Airflow
- Exposure to Machine Learning or AI-based solutions is a plus
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure Automation tools
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards within financial systems
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Python applications
- Develop APIs and backend services for enterprise banking platforms
- Collaborate with architects and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
- Implement secure coding practices and maintain compliance standards
- Build reusable modules and automation frameworks
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
