Dream 11648 – kennel 854
Days in Shelter - 57
You may recognize Dream from our last long-timer post. She is now our longest resident. Dream was surrendered by her owner on July 3rd and her life turned into a nightmare. She doesn’t want to be in the loud shelter! She wants to be in a comfortable home! Come help her achieve her dreams. In the meantime, she’ll be napping in kennel 854. She’s around 2 years old, intact, and heartworm negative.

Carlson – 11719 – kennel 880
Days in Shelter – 54
Carlson and his sister Caroline were on an adventure at the beginning of July and were picked up by a Good Samaritan. They both had collars and leashes, but no one ever came for them. Caroline has already been adopted, so Carlson is here all by himself! He went to an adoption event a few weeks ago and was sadly overlooked. He was also the Pet of the Week last week but is unfortunately still here. Our volunteers have said Carlson is treat motivated and is attentive to his people, so come give Carlson the snacks and attention he deserves! He is around 6 years old, neutered, and heartworm negative. He’s patiently waiting in kennel 880.

Scamp – 11770 – kennel 809
Days in Shelter – 52
This little Scamp has been in the shelter since July 8th. His finder said he was running loose at a dog park and had some minor injuries, so they took him in for a few weeks while he recovered. They said he had some wounds on his head and a missing dewclaw. We think Scamp is an appropriate name for him, as he reportedly destroyed TWO wire crates at the finder’s house!  But it’s hard to be mad at him with a cute face like that. The finder says he was good with their dog, but they reported some possible resource guarding. Our staff has not noticed any issues, but we think it’s important to mention. Scamp is also a volunteer favorite! They say he is gentle on-leash and loves treats and cuddles. Scamp is around a year and a half, intact, and heartworm negative. Come see this sweet boy in kennel 809.

Tulip – 11785 – kennel 830
Days in Shelter – 51
This bright blue-eyed beauty is Tulip! She was loose in an apartment complex at the beginning of July. A resident kept her for a few days in case her owner lived around there and was looking for her. The finder said she is NOT house trained, so she was possibly an outdoor dog that will need some extra training. Like most huskies, she is full of energy! Our volunteers say she loves playing fetch and will even carry a ball around on their walks. Come rescue her so she can run and play all day. She is approximately 2 years old, intact, and will be heartworm tested soon. She’s planted in kennel 830, waiting to bloom with you.

Elodie – 11786 – kennel 851
Days in Shelter – 51
Elodie has been in the shelter since July 9th. She has a very common story: a stray dog with no microchip who doesn’t get reclaimed. Her past may be a common one, but she deserves a special future. Volunteers think she is SO sweet and love playing fetch with her. She was treated for stranger-related anxiety, but her most recent checkup showed improvement! Elodie is around 3 years old, intact, and heartworm negative. She’s in kennel 851, ready for her forever home.

Holland – 11806 – kennel 852
Days in Shelter – 50
Holland was found tied to a fence inside an apartment complex on July 10th. No one in the complex recognized or claimed her, so she was brought to the shelter. She was found wearing an “emotional support animal” collar, but now, she needs your support. Holland has been at the shelter for almost 2 months. Let’s get her out before she reaches that anniversary. She is 2 years old, intact, and negative for heartworms. You can visit her in kennel 852.

Lilith – 11853 – kennel 879
Days in Shelter – 48
This incredible girl has been at the shelter for way too long! Lilith came to us on July 12th as a stray. The family that found her said she walked up to their house one day, looking for a place to rest. She was good with their children, so they kept her for a few days while they looked for her owner. No one claimed her, so she was brought to the shelter. Since then, our volunteers have rated her 5 stars (yes, really – one of them wrote exactly that on her volunteer comments kennel card!) and say she is a pro at walking attentively on-leash and she loves back scratches and playing fetch. Let’s get this Lil’ lady out of here ASAP! She’s around 2-years-old, intact, and heartworm negative. This 5-star girl is shining in kennel 879.

Moana – 11911 – kennel 878
Days in Shelter – 46
Make way for Moana! This princess has been at the shelter since July 14th. She had a microchip, but her family was not able to reclaim her. At 8 years old, she is technically a senior dog, but she is still very active. Our volunteers say she loves talking her time on walks so she can sniffeverything. So, be prepared for long walks with this sweet girl. She is spayed and heartworm negative. Rescue her and see how far she’ll go! She’s eagerly awaiting her voyage out of the shelter in kennel 878.

Adelaide – 11921 – kennel 29
Days in Shelter 46
This is our current Pet of the Week, Adelaide! She was found in a resident’s backyard with her whole family - 4 other dogs! Adelaide is the only one from the group that is still here at the shelter. Since she was found with other dogs, we assume she is dog friendly, but we don’t know much else about her. Volunteers say she walks well on-leash and is very sweet! We think she’s around a year old, she’s negative for heartworms and is intact. Come visit her in kennel 29.

Priscilla – 11926 – kennel 53
Days in Shelter 46
Miss Priscilla was found by a Good Samaritan and brought to a vet’s office on July 15th. She came to the shelter for her stray hold and unfortunately was not reclaimed by her family. We aren’t sure why she wasn’t reclaimed because volunteers say Priscilla is a very sweet girl! She loves her walks with the volunteers and is always ready for a game of fetch.  She is around 4 years old, intact, and negative for heartworms. She’s waiting to meet her new fetch partner in kennel 53.
