Meet Alma!
Alma is still here! She has been treated for heartworms and has $1,000 in sponsorship available to licensed rescue!
Alma was brought to the shelter 3/18. She had been living in a homeless camp. She is a sweet girl, hoping to live the easy life after this. The volunteers describe Alma as loving and easygoing. She sits nicely when asked and gentle on leash. Alma is heartworm positive but has been treated here at the shelter. She will need to be retested in 6 months. Alma has a heart murmur. Due to the murmur she will need to be spayed at a vet outside the shelter where she can get more monitoring and workup. Alma is available for either adoption or rescue, but we would prefer her to be rescued to ensure she gets the medical care (spay) she needs. She is middle aged (4-7yrs), 71lbs, and intact.
