Dulce Needs Rescue at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta, GA
Dulce 16348 in kennel 413
Dulce is just as sweet as his name suggests! This handsome guy came to us on January 14th as a stray and was not reclaimed by his family. While he is available for adoption, we think rescue is best for him. He has some difficulties walking on his right rear leg, and it appears he has an old injury. We performed x-rays (the x-rays can be provided upon request) and this is what our vet had to say about the results:
There appears to be an old Salter-Harris fracture with some DJD in the distal femur/stifle on the right.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Dulce is also heartworm positive, so he’ll need that taken care of, too. Luckily, he has already been neutered, so that’s one less thing to worry about! He has received his DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, and he’s slightly underweight at 64 pounds. One of the officers that cares for him says he loves making biscuits on his blankets. Dulce is a precious boy with a lot of gentleness and love in his heart. Let’s get him his forever home!
