This is Lydia. Lydia is a cute little thing, about 6yrs old, and 20lbs. Sadly this is not Lydia’s first visit here at the shelter. She really needs some stability in her life, so we hope she can be rescued this time to ensure she is adopted by someone that intends to keep her for the rest of her life.
In 2019 Lydia (then Tinkerbelle) was turned in when she was just 2yrs old. They said she kept escaping from the backyard. You couldn’t blame her because she was left outside all the time. They didn’t bother housetraining her so they kept her outside. She was good with other dogs and kids at that time. She is a cutie, so of course was adopted just a couple days later.
In September of this year Lydia was brought back to the shelter due to her owner having to care or an elderly father. They also said she was good with children and dogs. She was actually surrendered with another dog (50lb pitty mix).
On 11/12 Lydia was returned once again because they said she was “aggressive towards the family, including their small child.” Here, she is sweet and lets you pet her when you go slow. However, she doesn’t like to be told what to do or restraint. She appears to just be very afraid and confused. Losing multiple homes is undeniably stressful!
Please help us get Lydia into a good, real forever home that won’t give up on her! Lydia is heartworm negative and spayed.
