The animals below are at risk of possible euthanasia on Monday October 1, 2012 if not adopted or rescued:
· Brutus 6015 This boy is a sweet boy but is showing animal aggressive signs, he is rescue only until evaluated for safety around other animals. Any rescue interested will need to be Pit bull savvy and be able to handle a very large, strong dog. He has not shown any human aggression.
· Tammy 5843, Tammy is a beautiful Blue Pit Bull, calm sweet girl, she is good with other dogs but has become afraid since being bitten on the ear and does not want to be housed with other dogs. In a home environment this would most likely not be an issue. Tammy loves people and is a very well-mannered girl.
· Rocky 5974, Rocky is a very sweet Rottweiler, his large size keeps us from being able to house with other dogs, he is a sweet boy and well behaved
· Taylor 5868, Taylor is a sweet girl, medium size mix, snappy with other dogs so she is housed alone. This may not be a problem in a home environment.
· Booboo 5981, Booboo is a sweet little mixed dog, sweet and good with other dogs, the shelter environment terrifies her, she just sits and shakes in her run and when walked just freezes in place. This girl needs to get out of the shelter and into a place where she feels safe.
· Link 5806, Link is a sweet fun loving guy, he is a Rottie Shep mix and even though he is a gentle boy, he has a grumpy looking face and this prevents people from seeing what a sweetie, playful boy he is.
· Clyde 5802, Clyde is a sweet senior Pit bull, he loves his people but is not good with other dogs. He must be housed alone and this can cause a space issue at the shelter.
· Dude 5865, Dude is a Chocolate Lab mix, very gentle and sweet with people. When you come up to pet him he rolls over on his back for a belly rub. As much as he loves people he cannot be housed with other dogs at the shelter. Neutering and a lower stress environment would possibly correct these issues.
· Roman 5725, Roman is a handsome Treeing Walker coon hound, he is a sweet boy but like many hounds is a bit food obsessed and will fight over food and howl and fuss at any other animal near his food. He is able to be housed with another dog (a patient dog) but must be separated at feeding time.
Dogs here longer than 2 months that really need to get out of the shelter and start their new life:
· Laura 5096, Laura has been at the shelter for 4 months, she has done nothing wrong but be unlucky enough to be born a Black dog in Georgia. She is a sweet girls and gets along great with other dogs.
· Kelsey 5428, Kelsey is a playful, shep. Mix, she is a good dog and for some reason just does not catch the eye of visitors. Kelsey is rooming with Jonathan and they have a great time playing all day, but she wants to have a home of her own away from the noisy shelter.
· Maggie 5470, Maggie has been at the shelter for 2 months, she is a beautiful Pit bull mix, Maggie was bitten by her first roommate and after she healed we worried she would be afraid to be with other dog, but she does not hold a grudge, she always looks like she just put on her makeup for a date. We think she is trying to impress potential adopters.
Three senior kids really need a place to retire:
· Jeff 5954 is a senior, Black, Neutered Poodle, he is a wiggle bear when you come into the room. This boy needs a good groom and he will be good as new.
· Tim 5958 is a senior White, male Poodle, he is a sweet boy and does his best to hold his tee tee to be walked, he is freshly groomed but does have cataracts.
· Ellie Mae 5976 is a senior, female Chihuahua, she has one tooth that sticks out of her mouth and this just give her so much character, Ellie is a sweet and happy girl and needs a lap to curl up on these chilly nights.
