On February 7th, Colby and his brother were lost boys and were picked up by one of our road officers. His brother has already been adopted, but Colby needs a little extra care before he can find his new family. We’ve learned that he needs some time to warm up to people before he seeks attention and affection, so we think a rescue will be the best fit for him at the moment. He’s a little anxious, so he’s taking some anxiety medication to help him get comfortable. Once he’s warmed up to someone, he’s a lover who wants to snuggle up in your lap. But it’s no wonder he’s nervous; we found a BB pellet partially embedded in this poor baby’s neck! Luckily, it didn’t cause any issues worse than a small wound that’s healing nicely. We don’t know what his past looks like, but we know his future includes a loving home!
Colby is around 3 years old, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on the DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He weighs around 15 pounds.

Val was wandering a neighborhood on February 9th, but no one could figure out where his family was! Sadly, they didn’t come to reclaim him. When he was first brought to the shelter, we noticed he had blood in his urine, so our vet checked him out quickly. They performed x-rays and saw he has a bladder stone. He’ll need further care regarding the bladder stone, so we hope to get him out of the shelter as soon as possible! Val is a sweet boy that wants to know: will you be his Valentine?
Val is 6 years old, intact, heartworm negative, and up to date on the DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He weighs around 15 pounds.
