Subject: *IMMEDIATE* Rescue Request @ CCAS for Whiskey!
We originally sent out this rescue request on 11.05.2025. Since then, we have not received any communications showing any potential interest.
Due to his behaviors, and some new health issues, Whiskey is in need of IMMEDIATE rescue. We are quickly running out of our small dog kennels.
If any of our Rescue partners are able to help assist Whiskey, please let us know, as SOON as possible!
Whiskey – ID# 14609 – Kennel# 206 - at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta, GA
We have to be honest- this Whiskey is a little sour. He was surrendered to us by his first owner in October 2024 because he was cage aggressive and they were worried he would hurt himself thrashing around in his cage. While he was at the shelter the first time, we did notice some cage aggression, but he would calm down once the cage door was opened and would come forward for affection. He was adopted later that month but unfortunately, he came in as a stray on October 23rd. Our attempts to reunite him with his owner were unsuccessful.
Whiskey still has the same issues with cage aggression that he had last year. We do not have any documented bite incidents involving him, but we believe he would be best suited for someone with experience with these behaviors. At this time, he is available for rescue only. Out of his cage he is sweet and affectionate, so we’re sure he will be a wonderful dog in the right environment.
The person that found Whiskey kept him for a couple of weeks before bringing him to the shelter, so they provided a little insight into his behavior outside of the shelter. They say he was good with their children and other dogs and is possibly housebroken. They didn’t mention anything about cage aggression, but it’s possible they didn’t use a crate with him.
Whiskey is about two years old, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. He weighs about 15 pounds.
We hope you think Whiskey is neat ❤
