urchin error.log and ssl_engine_log rotation

I am using ssl with Urchin v5.7.03 on a Redhat linux machine and need
assistance or useful comments on the following.

I am trying to rotate the following files under /usr/local/urchin/var/
error.log, ssl_engine_log

and by using basic linux logrotation function this can be archived.
But I am not sure whether I should restart urchin service or the
httpd service.
If I restart urchin service I am afraid it will cause a gap on my
urchin graphs.

Currently my logrotation settings look something like

/usr/local/urchin/var/ssl_engine_log {
rotate 7
daily
compress
postrotate
/etc/init.d/urchin reload > /dev/null 2>/dev/null || true
endscript
dateext
}
