Call For Papers for Seminar on Water and Sustainable Development

In Nepal, World Water Day and World Meteorological Day are being celebrated under the umbrella network of Nepal National Water Week which has been celebrated under the leadership of Water and Energy Commission Secretariat (WECS), Government of Nepal, in collaboration with different government and non-government organizations since 2009.

To share the latest researches on water and sustainable development and its interrelationship, the organizers of Nepal National Water Week- 2015 are going to organize a seminar on “Water and Sustainable Development” on March 22, 2015 in Kathmandu. In this context, the organizers seek relevant papers from different organizations, academic institutes, academia, researchers and students. The papers shall address issues in the following five core areas in the context of Nepal. 

Sub Themes

·         Water and Energy

·         Water and Food Security (Irrigation)

·         Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

·         Water and Disasters

·         Effects of Climate Change on Water Resources

 

Abstract Submission

The abstracts shall be related to the theme of the seminar and shall not exceed 250 words

 

Deadlines

·         Abstract Submission: March 2, 2015

·         Abstract Selection Notification: March 6, 2015

·         Full Paper Submission: March 19, 2015
