urbanSTEW presents STEWshops, a new workshop series covering different technology topics and software platforms relevant to the arts. Join urbanSTEW at MADCAP Theaters downtown Tempe, every Second Saturday September 2010 – February 2011 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm for four new and exciting workshops.

STEWshops are intended for those artists, students, and local community members who are interested in learning more about technology, but may not know where to start. urbanSTEW offers an affordable way for attendees to get an initial understanding of technologies commonly taught in more depth at several colleges and universities. These classes are an affordable way for students to explore and get excited about a technology before taking a college or university class. Attendees do not need to buy software packages to participate in workshops. STEWshops is a great introduction for those who are interested in buying the software but do know know exactly what it offers. No prior knowledge of any software program is needed for these workshops; however, those who simply need a refresher course to get back into a software program will also find these workshops useful. For more detailed schedule information, visit urbanstew.org/workshops.

Check out details for September and October's classes in the attached flyer.
