Art Piece Descriptions:
Spin Me/Push Me - I will be wearing a shirt that says "Spin Me" on the front and "Push Me" on the back. I will also wear blacked out goggles so I cannot see anything, and ear protection so I cannot hear anything.
Shout at Mario is a game. Use a flashlight to control the movement of the character and make noise to control the actions of the character.
Messengers displays a flock of motionless birds perched where they can be reached. Visitors can write and draw on them; effectively sharing their messages, hopes, wishes, dreams and desires with us all.
Memory invites visitors to walk into the space. A silhouette trail of their movement follows and quickly disappears. There a moment gone the next.
Seat Beat is an interactive installation of ready-made chairs amplified by hand-built contact microphones. Explore the installation surfaces and discover the sounds that normally go unheard.
Soundwalks lets you listen in on places you may have never been, just as maps let you visualize them. Visit and aurally explore the PHX:fringe locations at urbanstew.org/phxfringe/soundwalks <http://urbanstew.org/phxfringe/soundwalks> .
Texts From the Fringe is a performance that relies on you to play your part. Subscribed participants receive a series of instructive text messages. Follow the instructions and play a part Phoenix Fringe Festival. Go to txtphxff.com <http://www.txtphxff.com/> to subscribe. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of geographic location.
