community gardening workshop

On Feb. 4th and 5th there will be a workshop on community gardening at the Charlottesville Community Design Center. The workshop focus is community gardening, but it's really about giving people the organizing tools to help their neighborhoods create more community gardens. Someone from the American Community Gardening Association will be leading the event. A blurb from the organizers, Dave and Joanie (new C'ville residents who are doing great work around local food), is below.

We need your support of the community in our local area.
I have attached 3 different flyers for the American Community Gardens Association (ACGA) www.communitygarden.org Feb 4-5, 2011 C'ville "Growing Communities" workshop. Please pass these along to anyone who you feel will profit from attending the workshop.
We don't want to turn anyone away due to the fact that they can't afford the $75 registration fee for the workshop. Please assist us by making a donation for scholarships.
