Our major meeting this year will be held at the Imperial College in South Kensington, London on 10-11 September 2013. The USC's main interest is the role that flows of information play in the life of a city. Previously we have looked at these flows in the context of urban planning and design (Chicago, April 2012) and in the operation and management of urban infrastructure (UC Berkeley, September 2012). This year's meeting will look at the roles that information flows can play in improving the usability of a city across multiple demographic groups and thereby improving their individual perceptions of the Quality of Life. That's a bit of a mouthful, so in short, it's about Quality of Life.
