The Black Wealth Data Center (BWDC), supported and launched by Bloomberg Philanthropies as part of its Greenwood Initiative, provides leaders across every industry with data and resources to help drive
transformative action, programs, and policy. Visitors can access data disaggregated by race across five key topic areas – assets and debt, business ownership, education, employment, and homeownership.
Today, the BWDC announced the addition of new datasets and features to their site, including two new Black Wealth Indicators on Climate and Banking. The Black Wealth Indicators feature allows users to
quickly compare any two counties in the U.S with data visualizations that show characteristics across key areas, such as Black population by percentage and the level of Black employment.
