Hi to all of you,

I am using the UNA tools under ArcMap 10.2  and always get the below error.

Help is very much appreciated.

Alex

Hi Alex,

Could you please check how your input points are spatially distributed, do you see their extent on the map? Are there any that are very far out as outliers? And is the data projected?
The point to raster procedure determines the raster cell size based on input_points_extent.width * input_points_extent.height raster_cell_count.
In order to measure that, ArcGIS needs to be able to count the input points, and measure in distance units the extents of your  input points.

Best,

Andres

Dear Andres,
thanks a lot for the tip, the data was not projected, as arcmap changes this on the fly by adding data, I didn't realise it.
But this brought me only one step further as it still doesn't perform the tool completly but finishes with the following erroe warning:

[3 started] Retrieving necessary node attributes
2308 out of 4616 input points not recorded in graph
[3 finished]
[4 started] Running centrality computation
[4 finished]
[5 started] Writing out results
[5 failed]
Not successful
Completed script Centrality...
Succeeded at Mon Mar 24 18:57:06 2014 (Elapsed Time: 8,51 seconds)

As I saw the node attribute problem [step 3] above i performed the betweeness (500m radius) analyses using the junctions of the network, as they are by definition on the network.
(I defined the output folder on the c drive and without spaces in the file names, as I know this troubles Arcgis.)
According to the results report, the tool completes the process but the resulting shape file has the betweeness value 0 for all junctions.
other network operations, like service area or shortest path work perfectly fine.

I really hope you have also a answer to this problem,
cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I am very sorry you are having trouble running the tool, and sorry for the delayed response.

The issue here is definitely that "2308 out of 4616 input points" were not properly processed by the tool. It is harder to say what the root cause of the problem may be. This is often a result of the input points not being properly snapped to the network dataset. Are you certain that the input points and network dataset are compatible?
I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

All the best,

Michael Mekonnen
