Canada has been selected to host the 44th G7 summit in June 2018. The G7 comprises the seven richest economies in the world: Canada, France, Germany, Italy,
Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This will be an important opportunity for Canada to engage G7 counterparts on pressing global challenges. How will Canada fare?

equity, climate change, and the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

ABOUT CCIC'S PUBLIC EVENT:
Every year, the Canadian Council for International Co-operation hosts a free public event to raise awareness around a key topic in international cooperation.
Presented this year in partnership with
Climate Action Network Canada (CAN-Rac) this event will attract over 400 participants, including stakeholders from climate change, international development and humanitarian
civil society organizations, key government officials, relevant policy makers and academics.
Hosted by Susan Ormiston (CBC Radio and TV), this panel will include
Peter Boehm, Deputy Minister for the G7 Summit and Personal Representative of the Prime Minister;
Ambassador Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharyn,
Chair of Southern Voice and LDC IV Monitor; Joanna Kerr, Executive Director of Greenpeace Canada; and
Alexandra Garita, President of the Board of Equis: Justice for Women.
