Hi everyone,
The Metropolitan North West District is again offering Ultimate to their Yr 8 and Yr 9 classes.
6 schools have entered teams in to this program and interschool games commence this Wednesday, 15th Feb.
QUDA have been asked to provide a number of coaches to supervise and adjudicate/guide the games.
Session details:
Approximately 4 coaches will be needed each Wednesday afternoon during semester 1, from about 1.40pm – 3.00pm.
Each coach will be given responsibility to supervise a game.
The supervisory role involves some informal ‘umpiring’ and guidance to help keep the game going.
Coach Requirements:
You DO NOT need a coaching certificate.
You DO NOT need to be an experienced coach or player.
You DO need a Blue Card (or to have submitted a Blue Card application – QUDA will assist you to do this if you don’t already have one).
You DO need to love Ultimate.
Coaches will be paid by QUDA, with the schools contributing a percentage to assist.
The game rules will be modified to cater for the fact that many of the kids have not played before and have not received much/any coaching.
Modified rules will be sent to those who apply.
OK folks…
This is a great chance for enthusiastic players to grow Ultimate in our schools and to make some money doing it!
It is a heap of fun and very rewarding to help the kids to learn and love Ultimate.
If you are interested in participating, please get in touch ASAP.
Cheers,
Mat Ryan
