The Study Abroad Office is proud to announce the newest way to JUST GO AWAY!  Spend a semester in Israel with the Maryland-in-Haifa study abroad program.  Live and learn in one of Israel’s most multicultural cities at the University of Haifa.

In your unforgettable semester abroad you can:

  • Enjoy the beauty of the port city of Haifa and its surroundings, including the Carmel National Forest, Israel’s largest park.
  • Live with Israeli and international students in campus residence halls.
  • Engage in internships and field study.
  • Choose from a range of courses in English, including sociology, history, economics and political science.  Your classmates will be Israeli students!
  • Study Hebrew or Arabic at any level.
  • Take a specially designed course for program participants on the roots of societal conflicts and the search for common ground and mutual understanding, with Dr. Edy Kaufman of UM’s Center for Development and Conflict Management.

Make history – be among the inaugural class of Maryland-in-Haifa students Spring 2010.  For more information, contact the Study Abroad Office at 301-314-7746, stud...@umd.edu, or check us out on the web.  Just go away…and study abroad in Israel!
