Study Abroad in Israel & Egypt!
Dr. Edy Kaufman, Senior Researcher at the UMD Center for International Development and Conflict Management, is leading a once in a lifetime study abroad trip to explore intercultural communications and religious conflicts.
Students will spend 10 days in Egypt and 10 days in Israel/Palestine. In Egypt, students will visit educational, cultural, and religious sites in Cairo, Alexandria, and the Suez Canal. In Israel/Palestine, teaching and interactive activities will be conducted at the Tantur Ecumenic Institute, where the group will be based and joined by Palestinian and Israeli students. The group will also visit Christian, Jewish, and Islamic holy places.
Accepted students will enroll in GVPT 309I: Topics in International Relations.
Dates: May 24-June 13
Cost: $3,700 (+airfare)
