I just wanted to make sure all of you know about the great Israel Week Events that are coming up!

• Thursday April 23:
  
  • Ethiopian Event, Nymburu cosponsored by JSU, ZOA and Ethiopian Student Union
  • 7pm, Nymburu Cultural Centerl
  • THE ETHIOPIAN-ISRAELI FESTIVAL! "Chagiga" and "Ba'al" all in one! Come learn about Ethiopian culture, Israeli culture, and the Jewish Ethiopian community! Listen to Zion Uness, an Ethiopian Jew who trekked through Sudan on his way to Israel. Eat Ethiopian "dabo" and Israeli falafel! 
    
• Friday April 24:
  • Israel Shabbat at Hillel followed by a panel of University of Maryland students who have served in the IDF discussing their experiences.
• Saturday April 25:
  • Kedma Israel Seudat Shlishit
    
• Sunday April 26:
• Possible movie, Sour Milk and Honey
  
• Monday April 27:
  • Yom Hazikaron Program, 7pm Hillel Multipurpose Room
    
  • Yom HaZikaron in Israel is a very emotional day for everyone, as every single person has been directly affected by military deaths and/or terror attacks.
    We must remember that it is the brave young soldiers and strong citizens of Israel that have allowed our country to reach this point in history.
    Before we can celebrate Israel's independence on Yom Haatzmaut, we must show gratitude to our fallen soldiers that fought and died for Medinat Yisrael (the State of Israel). We will be having a ceremony in their memory on April 27 at 7:00 pm. It will be in the multi purpose room at Hillel. Please make your best efforts to attend and remember all those that have given their lives for the State of Israel.
