Hey UPZ

Check out this summer class on Israeli Security and Foreign Policy. It looks like an awesome course for those of you who will be sticking around CP this summer. The information is below.

Also, for those of you who are going to Israel this summer, UPZ and some of the other organizations we work with have some really cool tours for people interested in learning more about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. IPCRI (a joint Israeli-Palestinian think tank) runs a really awesome "Walk the Green Line Tour" and UPZ along with a whole bunch of other organizations will be organizing West Bank tours that can be as short as just a day or the afternoon that will leave from Jerusalem. So, please email me if you are interested in these tours.

Dear Aimee and Rachel,

As the leaders of UMD's UPZ group, I thought you'd be the right people for me to contact regarding a class I'm going to be teaching over the summer with the Department of Jewish Studies. My class, Israeli Security and Foreign Policy (JWST 419Z), is the only class offered by the department this summer and should be of interest to political science, history, journalism and other majors at the university. IIt will be canceled, however, if it does not get the requisite number of students to register for it. Anything you can do to help me publicize this course to your listserve and other Jewish students on campus would be much appreciated. Also, any advice you can give me on how I can best reach out to Jewish students on campus with this info would be appreciated as well.

Attached, please find a copy of the flier I've put together for this course.

Thank You,

Guy Ziv
