Any grow it here? I had some that just took off. It was beautiful.
However in the last month or so it completely died. Will it come
back? I grew it as a ground cover to get rid of hopelessly maintained
by the HOA grass.

This is the 2nd year I had it, and last year it did not die completely
down, this year it did.

I'm thinking it's too hot here for it to survive?

Any other suggestions for a ground cover that can take morning / early
afternoon sun and this heat?

Thanks

I grow it...It is perennial here, and quite drought tolerant.  I have had the same one in pots for years at a time...but it cannot stand poor drainage nor can it tolerate being packed up with mulch around it.   The saying goes, "You don't necessarily have to kill it, sometimes they just die."
