Hi All,
We are dreaming up our adventures and happenings at Sowing Solutions for this spring and summer.... I hope you can join us!
Here is our lineup of community events for spring and early summer:

Thursday March 23, Movie Night, 6:30

 'Reflection, A Walk With Water' and Meet Filmmaker Emmett Brennan!

View the film 'Reflection, A Walk With Water' and then meet the filmmaker Emmett Brennan to hear his story. There will be an opportunity to ask him about his work of creating this new film, as well as his previous work ‘Inhabit, A Permaculture Perspective’. Emmett is an artist and storyteller who uses film as a way to orient humanity towards care, curiosity, and repair. Both poetic and practical, his work gives momentum to the cautiously hopeful dreams in our hearts and offers deep insight into the interdependent relationship we share with the whole of life. He is most well known for producing ‘Inhabit: A Permaculture Perspective’ and directing ‘Reflection: a walk with water,’ which premiered at Tribeca and won an Audience Favorite award at Mill Valley.

Tour Sovereign Hill Farm in Chester, MA

Meet an inspiring farmer and healer, Kathrin Bateman. Visit her inspiring farm and homestead, raising goats and guardian dogs, a flower essences cottage industry, extensive herb gardens, and forest gardens.

Friday June 9th, 9am-5pm

 The Permaculture Design Certification Course begins with Sowing Solutions! 

Full Course Dates: June 9-12 Onsite in Shelburne Falls, Online  Evenings of June 22 & June 28, and Onsite July 12-16

Join us for an uplifting, informative, and inspiring program! Practice design for real clients alongside a guiding teaching team of professional designers; Visit numerous permaculture demonstration sites and learn from them; Gather new skills and long lasting friendships; Receive your design certificate!

Sunday June 11th,  9:30-12:30

Tour Big River Chestnuts Farm in Sunderland MA, 9:30-12:30

This is where Jono Neiger, co-founder of Regenerative Design Group and author of the book 'The Permaculture Promise' is developing a commercial agroforestry system based on chestnuts, small fruit, and chickens. There are ample hands-on learning opportunities at this farm that you can also pursue!

Tour Wing and A Prayer Native Pollinator Nursery in Cummington MA 9:30-12:30 

    • 🦋 9:30 Tour of Wing and a Prayer Nursery in Cummington, MA ~  Meet Amy and tour her nursery of native pollinator plants. Amy is actively working to save native pollinator habitat in our area. Plants will be available for purchase at the nursery after her tour! $20 for the tour. ~ Please contact us if you would like to register at a different sliding scale amount :)
    • 12:30 Lunch at Wing and a Prayer, A delicious lunch is offered by Alice of 'Alice's Kitchen' by an additional $10 donation :)
