Hello Upstate Locavores,
Mark your calendars for the a community potluck!
The
Fall Community Local Foods Potluck will be held on Thursday, November 8th at 6
p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Clemson (across from the
soccer field). Bring a dish to share made with at least one locally grown
or processed food. The Clemson Area Food Exchange (CAFE) will be awarding
a prize for the best dish made entirely from entirely local food, with at least three local ingredients.
The topic for the evening will be "Using Local Foods for Your
Holidays" and will feature displays of gift items from our area farmers.
Information will be available about where to find local holiday food
items such as turkey, vegetables, breads, pies and other delicious culinary
treats. Please also bring your own dishes, silver and cup to help the
volunteers. The potluck is sponsored by Upstate Locavores, CAFE, and
Tri-County Transition. For more information contact Elian Evans at
864-372-9004.
Stay tuned for more details!
We look forward to seeing you next month.
