I've read up various ideas for storing and sharing; FreeNet, Gnutella, Napster, BitTorrent, tor, i2p, IPFS, Storj, Camlistore, and alternative social networks like Diaspora*, Identi.ca/Voat. And some of their competitors.

I've read all Meeting minutes I could find in this Group. Are there any additional documentation of the bigger design decisions? Maybe there's a Wiki, enabling a shared effort to make an overview of discussions, writeups, links to commented code, re. protocol design and software architecture?

The short answer is that https://github.com/upspin/upspin/tree/master/doc is juicy but somewhat hard to digest.

Upspin has prose discussing the specific topic
comparison with existing systems that aim to give users secure shared access to data
  https://github.com/upspin/upspin/blob/master/doc/overview.md#comparison-with-existing-systems
but without naming and contrasting with specific systems, which is what I was looking for, so I put some effort in that direction, here:
  https://github.com/allspan/allspan/blob/master/docs/arch.md#differences-to-related-open-solutions

The whole "appspan" thing is my take at condensing the ideas I have, to see if I can verify that feature- and goal set and it's doable, and drum up some interest in implementing it. The ideas have brewed for a long time, but the github and writing is fresh, started only yesterday.
