If you do not specify tlscerts in your ~/upspin/config you can stop reading.

Otherwise, this month is a good time to fetch the self-signed pem files for ISRG Root X1 and ISRG Root X2 from https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/. Those go in your specified tlscerts directory, alongside or replacing DST_Root_CA_X3.pem. The X3 root cert will expire in September and the X1 root is already active.
