I know there's quite a few different ways people have tackled macOS Updates. In the past I've general leaned into the "encourage" users camp vs trying to brute force them. I've done a number of methods all to varying degrees. This week our CSOC identified CVE's that needed patching by getting everyone to macOS 11.6.3 or 12.2. Instead of guiding users to update, I'm actively trying to force them at certain actions (login/logout is my goal). That being said, I checked with Jamf about best practices and was pointed to this article -> -papers/jamf-pro/deploying-macos-upgrades/9.96/Running_Software_Updat... (we don't have any M1's so the article applies). I built my policy, applied it to some test boxes and, well, hit or miss. Specifically I'm running into this running software update locally:
The consultants and members of participating organizations strongly agree with the recommendation to confirm tracheal intubation using capnography or end-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring. The consultants strongly agree and members of participating organizations agree or strongly agree with the recommendation that when uncertain about the location of the tracheal tube, determine whether to either remove it and attempt ventilation or use additional techniques to confirm positioning of the tube.
i just-july 13, 2016, had this happen with my LG cell phone......i took it apart, removed ththe resultsk and , wala, it works just fine, thank you. solution: the magnetic field needed resetting ...my body electro magnetic field reset the chip's electromagnetic field. try it . you could lovvvvve ner gone),.....so, i took that outta the phone, thinking i'll just swipre across these metallic little pieces to remove any moisture, did that, put it bac white plastic chip ( square but for a little piece of a coree cover , and the battery and left all to dry out. the next day, yesterday,- after charging it all night, i restarted it, but there was zilch, nada, nothing...after looking online and using what would it take to get this running again, all my data back....i thought well, maybe there's a little moisture under that
This is the second time my girlfriends phone has had the bootloop problem. So here is the fix to boot it up and get a chanch to save your important data before factory reset! Take out the battery then reinsert it but dont turn it on! Put your phone in the freeze for about 15 min. Then take it out and it should boot up normally. If not, put it back in the freezer just a bit longer, like maybe 5 min then try rebooting it again. Now if the phone gets warm enough it will go back into its bootlooping problem so move the phone from the freezer to the refrigerator along with a usb cable sticking out when you close the door. Hook up your usb cable and start transferring your data. After your data is saved, perform the factoy reset by taking out the battery, reinserting the batery, hold the volume down button then hold the power button. As soon as you see the LG logo release the power button then quickly hold it again. Shortly you will see the factory reset option. Select yes to clear all its memory and get you phone working in its factory settings. Here is the article that gave me the solution the first time this happened -developers.com/tmobile-...
