Pentecost Sunday, May 15 - Join other Spirit-filled Catholics for a Pentecost Celebration and Mass where expressions of charismatic gifts will be welcome! Festivities will start at 3:00 p.m. in the Mother of God School gym. Invite your friends from other prayer groups - there is plenty of room in our large gym for everyone who wants to join in this Spirit-filled celebration! Our Pentecost Prayer Meeting will be incorporated into our celebration on Sunday afternoon, including opportunity for prayer ministry for those in need. This gathering draws charismatic Christians from all over the DC area. Following our community celebration and a punch-and-cookies reception, you are encouraged to gather with family and friends for dinner to continue the celebration.
Remember what happened when the early Christians prayed with fervor: As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:31) Come Holy Spirit!
