Fw: IGNITE: Night of Worship, Hiking Trip with Mass on Mountaintop and Eucharistic Praise & Worship

As we celebrate spring, I would like to invite you to three events this month of May:

 

1.  IGNITE: Night of Worship on Friday, May 11th at 7:30PM at St. Charles Borromeo Chapel - Join us for an evening of praise and worship led by Dustin Himmerich, a witness talk by Kevin Mayer and a social afterwards.  Check it out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/367410193296355/.

 

2.  IGNITE: Hiking Trip with Mass on Mountaintop at Mary's Rock with Fr. Luke Dundon on Saturday, May 12th - Meet at 8AM at St. Charles Borromeo Parking Lot - Join young adults from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Arlington and St. Philip's Catholic Church in Falls Church for a Saturday hike at Mary's Rock in Shenandoah National Park.  This hike to Mary’s Rock follows a 3.4 mile stretch along the Appalachian Trail (for a total hike of 6.8 miles).  Fr. Luke Dundon from St. Philips will lead us in the hike and celebrate Mass for us once we reach the summit. 

 

We will meet at 8am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Parking Lot.  We can all carpool so please let me know if you would be interested in driving.  After the hike, we can grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. Directions to Skyline Drive: Take I-66 West and exit onto US 29 at Gainesville. Follow to Warrenton, and take 211 West. Take 211 to Sperryville until you reach Skyline Drive. It takes about 90 minutes to get there.

3.  IGNITE: Eucharistic Praise & Worship with Fr. Tuck Grinnell on Friday, May 25th at 7:30pm at St. Charles Borromeo Chapel - As we get ready to celebrate Pentecost, Fr. Tuck Grinnell, Pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church will give a talk on "Empowered by the Spirit" and will preside the Eucharistic Adoration.  Stephie Mertens and the IGNITE Worship Team will lead us in praise & worship.  Confessions and prayer ministry will be available.  Afterwards, we will gather at Northside Social which is a coffee shop across the street.
