Usinga smartphone can often be less convenient than using a PC. However, the lack of a physical keyboard can be made up for by certain tools and add-ons, as is the case with this app, which offers us a comprehensive clipboard for copy-pasting texts with ease on our Android.

Moreover, this app also allows us to delete saved texts or mark them as favorites in order to enjoy fast direct access to them. This means we will always be able to have important information at hand, such as our bank account number, our license plate number, or an address.

Had a liquid spilt on keyboard incident. Managed to pull off a few keycaps with a pocket knife and clean and replace, but went a little too deep on one keycap and broke the scissor clip / hinge. Ali Express and Amazon seem to have some very expensive replacements, and found a place on eBay (with long postage times), but wondering if there are cheap places or local (Melbourne based).

Are there any keyboard commands to go to the next source clip in source monitor (similar to color tab in photoshop). Also is there a way to change all your source clips to audio only with one command.

Oh wait I found it under edit >> keyboard customization >> application >>take audio video.

I set my take video to V, and then I hit the comma to insert. This saves me loads of time. Thanks Alex, your post helped me out.

I Have the exact problem with my iPad. It's driving me batty since I can't see what I'm tpying. It's nearly impossible to correct type-os since I can't put the cursor where I need it, as soon as I touch the area to place the cursor, the keyboard pops up and blocks the view. Please help!

This keyboard issue started on my iPad yesterday. Not only does the virtual keyboard cover half the screen but it won't disppear. I understand how to split the screen and dock and undock it. But the little keyboard icon does not close the virtual keyboard. I have a bluetooth keyboard that when on takes precedent, but I don't always want to use it. Anyone else having this issue?

Exactly the same problem for me ever since I updated gmail to v 5.0.170618, about a year ago. Made the mistake of thinking an update would mean an improvement - but it was worse than the earlier version. Practically unusable since the keyboard on screen covers the bottom third and the text being created is covered by the keyboard so you can not see it to type. It would be solved if the text scrolled up (and off) the screen.....but it doesn't. How is this an improvement? Beats me

I agree... When I am typing with the keyboard "docked", all the text shows up above the keyboard. That's great. When I split the keyboard, which is my preferred use for faster thumb typing, the keyboard moves up about 1/4 of the screen and the text gets covered up by the split keyboard. It would be nice if the text moved up above the split keyboard so you can see what you are typing and make corrections as needed.

Funny, as I was just playing with my iPad, I found that if I physically turn the iPad from landscape to portrait and then back to landscape, the text moves above the split keyboard.. It also does the same if you prefer working in portrait orientation, you turn the iPad to landscape and then back to portrait again and the text will be above the split keyboard..

You can use keyboard shortcuts to quickly accomplish many tasks in Final Cut Pro. To use a keyboard shortcut, press all the keys in the shortcut at the same time. Shortcuts for common commands are listed in the table below. For information about viewing, creating, and managing shortcuts, see Intro to the Command Editor in Final Cut Pro for Mac.

Use this handy list to reference keyboard shortcuts for Premiere Pro and even print a PDF of the keyboard shortcuts. You can also use the visual keyboard layout to customize the shortcuts and assign multiple shortcuts to a command.

You can use the keyboard GUI to see which keys have been assigned and which are available for assignment. A tool tip reveals the full command name when you hover over a key in the Keyboard layout. When you select a modifier key on the keyboard layout, the keyboard displays all the shortcuts which require that modifier. You can also press the modifier key on the hardware keyboard to achieve this result.

You can also assign shortcuts by dragging a command from the command List onto a key in the Keyboard Layout, or onto a modifier combination for the currently selected key displayed in the Key Modifier List. To assign a command to a key along with a modifier, hold down the modifiers during drag-and-drop.

Premiere Pro lets you quickly and easily sync keyboard shortcuts between computers using the Sync Settings feature. Using Sync Settings, you can upload the customized keyboard shortcuts from your computer to Creative Cloud. Then, you can sync the keyboard shortcuts from Creative Cloud to any other computer.

Keyboard shortcuts are synchronized for the same platform only, and not between Windows and Mac OS platforms. That is, keyboard shortcuts created for Windows only sync with a Windows computer. Mac OS keyboard shortcuts only sync with a Mac OS computer.

To copy the keyboard shortcuts file to a location on a different computer, copy the .kys file to a removable drive, like a USB thumb drive. Then, copy the .kys file from the removable drive to the appropriate location in the new computer.

To add more shortcuts to a command, click to the right of an existing shortcut. If there is no existing shortcut, click anywhere in the Shortcut column. A new shortcut button is created in which you can type the shortcut.

To edit a shortcut, click the shortcut text in the Shortcuts column. The text is replaced with an editable button. Type the shortcut that you want to use. If the shortcut you type is already in use, an alert appears.

Many editors like to have a keyboard shortcuts document they can search and refer to. Premiere Pro offers a way to copy and paste keyboard shortcuts into a document, and then print. There are also pages in Help documentation that you can print, or save as a PDF.

Whether you are copy and pasting into a document, printing a PDF, or inspecting the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box, it is important to note the available commands that are mappable to the keyboard. You can engage in a much more keyboard-driven workflow by adding new keyboard shortcuts.

You can paste the lists of keyboard shortcuts from the Keyboard Customization dialog box into a text document, like a spreadsheet, from which you can print. The advantage of the copy and pasting method is that you can view your customized keyboard shortcuts, as well. If you select Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or Custom keyboard shortcuts, then those keyboard shortcuts are the ones that are printed.

This is a very difficult issue to resolve which seems odd. It's such a little thing. But the keyboard key is attached by a bunch of very small plastic pieces, really a marvel of engineering. You have to carefully examine the place where the keyboard key mounts to the board and all the mounting pieces. Even a small part that is broken will prevent the key from snapping on right. There is also no universal way keyboard keys mount to the keyboard. Several different systems are used.

These guys are the industry leader and have a library of tutorials for various models. Try to find one that looks the most like your mounting system and follow along. These guys also sell individual keys.

On your model HP does not even sell just a keyboard but offers as replacement the whole top cover which is obviously expensive and hard to install. So try to work through replacing the key. I wish I could get back some of the time I have spent on this very frustrating task. My eyesight no longer allows me to try to do this kind of fine detail work.
