Hello,

I want to create an iphone app that manages a Infotainment system via
UPNP. The infotainment system will be the device i am controlling and
iphone will be the controller.

I am using upnpxdemo client which is available in the net. its not
finding the devices . i mean its not discovering the devices. its
giving error like " Invalid socket". and if i try enabling with wiFi
it shows "Found: thisaddress:ifa_address:en0" i dont know exactly what
is does means?

I referred the following link for discovering the devices :
http://code.google.com/p/upnpx/

pls help me for dicvovering the devices.

and i want to know whether this UPnPx will it work on bluetooth
communication ?

Thanks.

Hi,

UPnP works on the local network, so indeed it needs the wifi in case of an iPhone.
What kind of iPhone do you use (search works fine on the 4 here)?
The 'found en0' menas it found a wifi interface that is up and will use that one for the ssdp.
Can you check with wireshark if you see anything on port 1900 ?

Thanks,
Bruno
