Description
D Magazine, one of the nation’s top city-regional publications, is looking for a detail-oriented Photo Retoucher with an eye for quality. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment, this is the right fit for you.
The Photo Retoucher will be responsible for the highest standards of photo imagery quality by skillfully retouching, clipping, compositing, and color correcting images for our award-winning print and web products.
Key Responsibilities:
Retouch photo imagery of various subject matters including: Portraits, Food, and Home Décor
Correct color casts, create composites, extend backgrounds, and silhouette objects
Match color-critical advertising materials for outside clients as well as scrutinize art layouts and physical proofs for trapping, color, and production issues before press.
Execute calibrations and maintenance on all imaging equipment. Responsible for ordering paper and ink, as well as keeping track of proof counts.
Conduct press checks to ensure the highest quality of products.
Experience and Attributes:
Bachelor’s degree+ 0-2 years experience
-Degree in photography or related field
-Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
-Portfolio displaying retouching ability
