Position PurposeThis class assists the Manager (Supervisor II, IV) in coordinating, planning, administrating, supervising and conducting recreational and cultural programs at a comprehensive community recreation center. Primary responsibilities include implementation of Active Senior and Adult Program (ASAP) and after school programs.
Essential Functions- Make camp an experience, not a destination
- Lead a variety of activities, including games, sports, arts, life skills, and educational activities in a variety of settings.
- Maintain a high level of stamina and charisma when overseeing the activities and attending to the temperaments of youth.
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.
- Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.
- Attend all job trainings and staff meetings.
- Contribute to verbal and written evaluations and communication as requested.
- Swim with campers when swimming is the scheduled activity. (This is mandatory to work Summer Camps!)
