Position Purpose

Provides journey level damage assessment, repair, body preparation, and painting of damaged city vehicles to provide safe and functional transportation for city personnel. 

EDUCATION: 

• High school diploma or GED. 

EXPERIENCE:  

• Four (4) years of experience in an automotive repair shop performing painting, frame, conventional and unibody repairs.

EQUIVALENCY(IES):    

• An Associate degree (or higher) or certificate in an Automotive Technology field PLUS two (2) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S): 

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must obtain a valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within probationary period.
