Essential Functions- Responsible for coordinating public art projects from planning, initiation to post-installation in a timely manner including coordination of artists' contracts, invoices, and funding.
- Plan and organize public art operations and events to meet assigned goals.
- Coordinate multi-year contracts with engineering, fabrication, installation and site preparation requirements.
- Analyze operational and program metrics to assess effectiveness.
- Execute operational procedures, work schedules and make public presentations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, city officials and employees, vendors, other government agencies, artists, and the general public.
- Provide excellent customer service to artists, funding departments, City personnel and the public.
- Participate in public art research, outreach and professional development.
- Keep clear records and accounting of time worked and provide time entry reports as directed by the Public Art Program Manager.
- Maintain public art policies, guidelines and processes as published.
- Perform related work as required
Minimum QualificationsAn undergraduate degree (B.A., BFA) in Visual Arts, Museum Studies, Communications, Film/Media Studies, Arts Administration, or a related arts field preferred and three (3) years relevant experience
