Description
The Director of Programs is responsible for providing leadership and direction on all areas of programming at For Oak Cliff in collaboration with the For Oak Cliff team and our community. Program leadership includes development, content, implementation, and evaluation of programs with an emphasis on measurable outcomes using data, community input, and best practices; prioritization of programmatic objectives, activities, and budget needs; development of financial resources to support our programming; program integration of programmatic activities into FOC’s current and future service offerings. She/he will work independently and collaboratively to achieve program excellence in the SuperBlock and abroad through community building, research, evaluation; grant and contract management; communications and marketing; meeting development and implementation, program operations, and resource development.
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for creating positive change in the Superblock. Alignment with our values of Courage, Liberation, Love, and Wisdom.
- College degree or at least five years equivalent work experience.
- Experience in community organizing/coalition building.
- Expertise in developing and measuring programs and program outcomes.
- Experience in taking programs from concept to implementation.
Preferred:
- Resident or native of the Superblock within our targeted 75216 zip code.
- Experience in cultivating partnerships with schools and other education agencies.
- Conflict resolution and/or peacekeeping experience.
- Experience with policy, advocacy, community organizing, and/or local politics and social change.
